Our Approach
Privacy is the first principle
Bathing, dressing, and toileting are deeply private. Many residents arrive feeling embarrassed about needing help with them. We work hard to make each interaction feel as ordinary and dignified as possible.
We follow the resident's preferences: shower or bath, morning or evening, full assistance or just standby help, this caregiver or that one. We don't rush. We don't make a resident feel like a task to be completed.

What's Included
Personal care, daily
- Daily help with bathing — shower, bed bath, or sponge bath as preferred
- Hair washing, brushing, and styling
- Help dressing in clothes the resident chooses
- Oral care — brushing, dentures, mouth rinse
- Skin care — moisturizing, checking for sores, wound care as needed
- Nail care, kept tidy and comfortable
- Shaving and beard trimming
- Toileting and incontinence care, with absolute privacy
- Hairdresser and salon visits arranged when desired
- Help selecting outfits — keeping a sense of personal style
- Same-gender caregiver assistance available on request
- Patience with residents who resist or are anxious
